WNBA Finals Ticket Prices Recover Hours Before Game 6 Matinee

Ticket prices for Game 6 of the WNBA Finals have shot up in the hours before the matinee contest.

The final get-in ticket price for the Finals game in Atlanta was $106 on Thursday, up from $32 on Wednesday, according to TicketData. Wednesday’s price made it the cheapest Dream ticket of the year, including the entire regular season.

The cheapest resale tickets remained under $40 on Thursday morning, but began to jump in the hours before the 12:30 p.m. tip-off.

The sudden uptick suggests the Dream could see a relatively packed State Farm Arena for Thursday afternoon’s game. The team already announced an official sellout on Wednesday, though tickets remain available in the secondary market.

Tickets went on sale Monday afternoon after the league announced it was moving Game 6 from 8 p.m. to 12:30 p.m. ET, allowing the Dream to play at the 17,000-seat State Farm Arena rather than the 3,500-seat Gateway Center. The Dream played most of their regular-season games at Gateway Center, but moved to State Farm Arena during the playoffs.

The Dream have had several schedule conflicts at State Farm Arena during the Finals, prompting the WNBA to reschedule Games 3 and 4 less than a week before the series started. When the Valkyries tied the series at 2–2 on Saturday, the league scrambled to alter its schedule.

Resale tickets for Game 6 started in the $100+ range on Monday, but dropped to $50–$75 Tuesday after the Dream lost Game 5 and fell behind 3–2 in the series. The loss meant there would be no chance the Dream could clinch the title in front of their home crowd.
