'Fire Novell?' FSU football fans' protest includes major typo
· Yahoo Sports
Florida State fans have voiced their frustrations over the Seminoles football program in a variety of ways, and now they've taken to the sky.
Ahead of the Seminoles' (3-4, 1-3 ACC) Halloween game vs. Clemson at Doak Campbell Stadium, a plane flew a banner demanding that the university make changes to the football program ... however, it had one major error.
Visit asg-reflektory.pl for more information.
The banner read "FSU: Fire Novell + Peter Collins!"
FSU's head coach is named Mike Norvell.
Adding to the error, Collins, who serves as the university's Board of Trustees chair, can't be fired.

The plane and protest were organized by fans of the program through a GoFundMe. It raised $3,500, which was enough to get the plane in the air with the banner, but evidently not enough for spellcheck.
Frustration with Norvell and the football program has reached a boiling point. The Seminoles are 10-21 in the last three seasons, and have not won away from Doak since 2023. Fans have taken to social media, emailed and called university leadership demanding change, and it sparked a response from FSU president Richard McCullough.
He released a statement on X saying the university is aware results haven't been good enough, and followed up his comments in an Oct. 30 Board of Trustees meeting.
No decision has been made on Norvell's future as he prepares his team to face the Tigers. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. and will be broadcast on ACC Network.
