Arteta hints Dowman could be back in the team for the Champions League game
· Yahoo Sports
Max Dowman is serving a three match domestic suspension following his red card against Fleetwood Town, with Arsenal failing to overturn the decision on appeal. As a result, the youngster will be unavailable for domestic selection for some time.
However, the suspension does not apply to the Champions League, meaning Dowman remains eligible for Arsenal’s upcoming meeting with Slavia Praha. Supporters will be hoping to see him feature in the European fixture.

Dowman could feature against Slavia Praha
Had he been available, Dowman would likely have had an opportunity to be part of the Arsenal squad that beat Liverpool at Anfield at the weekend, particularly with Christos Tzolis only just returning from injury.
The youngster now has another opportunity to gain valuable experience in Europe, with Mikel Arteta suggesting that he could be included in the squad travelling to Prague.
His availability gives the manager another attacking option, and the occasion could provide Dowman with further experience at senior level.

Arteta discusses Dowman’s potential involvement
Speaking about the youngster’s progress and possible selection, Arteta said, via Football London:
“Well, it’s another year in his career, and he’s shown that every time he’s played with us, he has a lot to offer. So that would be now a matter of a choice from my side to pick him.”
Dowman is already an important part of Arsenal’s plans, and opportunities to feature in European matches could help him continue developing.
The experience of competing at this level will also help him mature as a player. Learning from difficult moments, including the circumstances surrounding his dismissal against Fleetwood Town, will be important for his development and decision-making.
Arteta will ultimately decide whether to give him an opportunity against Slavia Praha.
