Jimmy Kimmel gleefully mocked U.S. President Donald Trump after Democrats thumped Republicans in the midterm elections.

The late-night host, who has been embroiled in an ongoing war of words with Trump for years, predictably roasted the president after a “blue wave” swept the House of Representatives and the Senate following Tuesday’s elections.

Kimmel also mocked Trump for claiming that the Republicans would have won if his name was on the ballot.

“Shut that ridiculous mouth! … That is such crap … All your big handpicked candidates lost! … You were on the ballot. You’re like dog hair — you’re on everything. You’ve infected every nook and cranny of our lives. You divided this country like no one ever divided it before,” Kimmel said . “The only time you ever brought us together was yesterday, when we all teamed up to get rid of you!”

Kimmel said the results, which saw Americans overwhelmingly choose to hand control of Congress to Democrats, were proof that voters are done with Trump.

“The verdict is in, and there’s only one thing left for Nappy Gilmore to do: resign,” Kimmel said. “Quit already! Just quit. Nobody wants you. Even you don’t want to be president anymore. Take that billion dollars worth of crypto, buy an island. Maybe Epstein’s island? Wouldn’t that be a perfect end to this story!”

Kimmel also fired back at the White House after spokesperson Danny Ingle called him a “no-talent loser who has beclowned himself with tanking ratings and by spewing disgusting lies to his dwindling audience.”

“That, by the way, is almost word-for-word the same statement they’ve issued about me two times in the past year. I got a third beclowned, which I think is the last warning,” Kimmel quipped, before firing off another zinger: “The last thing I want to do is tell you how to do your job, Danny Dingle, but today seems like a bad day for you to call me a loser.”

‘It’s like he’s aging in reverse’

Kimmel has targeted Trump repeatedly this year. When he returned from summer vacation in September, he wondered aloud if the president was having a midlife crisis.

“It’s like he’s aging in reverse. He’s our own Benjamin Glutton,” Kimmel wisecracked. “He’s crazier than ever.”

Trump’s AI-generated memes, which included him sharing a cartoon image on Truth Social that showed him flattening Prime Minister Mark Carney in a game of hockey, also drew Kimmel’s scorn.

“Of course, no ridiculous idea would be complete without merch. After cancelling the word ‘Ontario,’ Trump is now selling ‘Lake America’ hats for $55 a pop, which is a small price to pay to let everyone around you know you did not graduate the sixth grade,” he swiped. “Sometimes I feel like he waits until I’m on vacation to do the really dumb stuff.”

After CBS cancelled Stephen Colbert’s late-night show, Trump urged ABC to drop Kimmel, telling the network to “get the bum off the air.”

“Why does ABC Fake News keep Jimmy Kimmel, a man with NO TALENT and VERY POOR TELEVISION RATINGS, on the air? Why do the TV Syndicates put up with it? Also, totally biased coverage. Get the bum off the air!!!” Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform last year.
