Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Miami Heat may be struggling, but one former Laker has made some truly out of pocket comments about the Greek Freak.
The move from Milwaukee to Miami isn’t going exactly how he planned it for Giannis Antetokounmpo at the moment. The new-look Heat have started the season 3-6, and recently lost against the Golden State Warriors. The Greek Freak has been in the headlines as a result, and received his share of criticism.

Doc Rivers recently suggested that Giannis is hard to coach, for example. His style of play has been called into question by some. It is worth noting that despite this, he is averaging 27.3 points, 12.7 rebounds, and 5.6 assists per game. And now, one former Laker may have gone overboard with his comments.
Nick Young makes out of pocket comments about Giannis Antetokounmpo’s offensive game
Former NBA players on podcasts are some of the most viral commentators when it comes to the modern game. The Gil’s Arena podcast, in particular, is known for some fairly wild takes at times. Nick Young, who is a regular voice on the show, recently made some truly provocative comments about Antetokounmpo.
Speaking about Giannis’ offensive game, Kobe Bryant’s former teammate simply ended up insulting the two-time NBA MVP.
The n**** dumb. That’s all. He just Gyro Greek brain. All he learned was to go coast to coast. That n**** ain’t changed. I haven’t seen a jump shot,” Young said. “He been going coast to coast since he came in the league. ‘Aye, set a screen?’ ‘Nah, I’m gonna go coast-to-coast. That’s what I do.’
“If they keep losing… That coach in Miami, they ain’t going to treat him like they did Doc. If they keep losing and he go coast to coast…”
These comments from Young are unlikely to be received well by Giannis or his fans. While there can be some criticisms of his game, this is well beyond what would be considered normal. It remains to be seen if the Heat superstar will respond to this.
