Tatum's injury rehab has been the subject of intense media coverage, especially as the C's have proven themselves to be one of the top teams in the league, even without him on the court. Now that he's back, the sky's the limit for Boston, and ahead of his return to action, Tatum issued a simple two-word message.
"I'm excited," Tatum simply said as he arrived at TD Garden.
While Tatum is understandably going to have to shake off some rust after not having played basketball in nearly a year, it's not hard to see why there's so much excitement surrounding his return. When he's at his best, Tatum is one of the top five players in the league, and you can make a case that Jaylen Brown has joined him in that group as well now.
Expectations should be tempered for Tatum's return, as Boston is going to ease him back into the action. The excitement in Boston is palpable, and it's safe to say TD Garden will be roaring when Tatum is introduced right before this game's 7 p.m. ET tip-off.
