Green 10, Eastern Pike 0 (F/6)

Buoyed by a combined four-hitter from Green pitchers Brennan Renison and Uriah Satterfield, the Green Bobcats' baseball program was able to claim a 10-0 triumph over the Eastern Pike Eagles' baseball program Tuesday evening in a contest that was held at Green High School.

Renison, who got the start on the mound, led the way with a one-hitter through four innings. Renison struck out seven batters on Tuesday evening, and went 1-for-2 with two walks, RBI and a run scored to boot at the plate for Green (3-0).

Satterfield added in a 2-for-4 day at the dish with a double, two RBI and two runs scored while Gabe Blevins (2-for-4, double, two RBI, run scored), Jon Knapp (2-for-4, two doubles, two RBI, two runs scored) and Riddick Jenkins (2-for-3, double, RBI, three runs scored) also joined the multi-hit column. Conner Blanton and Carson Johnson rounded out those who obtained a hit in the game by going 1-for-4 with a double, an RBI and a run scored and 1-for-1 to boot, respectively.

Notre Dame 3, Paint Valley 2

Riding a strong effort by Notre Dame's Connor Estep, the Notre Dame Titans' baseball program was able to grind out a 3-2 victory over the Paint Valley Bearcats' baseball program in a nonconference matchup that took place on Tuesday evening in Portsmouth.

Estep, who allowed just two hits in his six innings of work, effectively pitched around six free passes by striking out eight batters in Notre Dame's 3-2 triumph to pick up the winning decision. Sawyer Rutman came on in relief in the seventh inning to pick up the save for Notre Dame (3-0).

At the plate, Luke Cassidy's two-run homer in the third inning allowed the senior to go 1-for-2 with two walks, two RBI and a run scored while Bryce McGraw went 1-for-3 with a walk and a run scored in the contest.

Wheelersburg 3, Greenup County (Ky.) 0

Rebounding nicely from a season-opening setback to Greenup County (Ky.), the Wheelersburg Pirates' baseball program showed off the resiliency that it has become known for, as Bransyn Russell's complete game two-hitter led the Pirates to a 3-0 win.

Russell, who helped Wheelersburg even its record at 1-1, struck out nine batters in his complete game performance and didn't surrender a single free pass. Russell also went 1-for-2 with an RBI to boot.

Brycen Longfellow (1-for-2, run scored) joined Russell in the hit column for the Pirates.

Piketon 10, Northwest 8

Northwest's Chase Kingrey struck out seven batters in five innings of work and the Northwest Mohawks' baseball program took a 8-7 lead into the sixth inning, but the Piketon Redstreaks' baseball program scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth frame to give Piketon a homestanding 10-8 win Tuesday evening.

Kingrey, who gave up four hits and was credited with giving up just three of the seven runs that Northwest allowed in the first five innings of play, also went 1-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored in the contest.

Northwest leadoff hitter Wesyn Lang (4-for-5, RBI, two runs scored) led the Mohawks offensively while Peyton Wolfe (1-for-3, walk), Braxton Burris (1-for-3, walk, two RBI, run scored), Brevan Staggs (1-for-4, RBI), Aiden Moore (1-for-4, run scored) and Bradley Mason (1-for-3, two runs scored) rounded out the offensive production for the Mohawks (1-1).

SOFTBALL

Notre Dame 19, East 3 (F/5)

Behind a combined one-hitter from the pitching trio of Alayla Soard, Candace Oudeh and Lyndsey Schaefer, the Notre Dame Titans' softball program picked up a 19-3 victory over the East Tartans' softball program in five innings on Tuesday evening in Slocum.

Soard, Oudeh and Schaefer each combined to strike out 10 batters in the one-hitter that Notre Dame posted, while the hitting lineup combined for eight extra base hits in the contest to support the pitching staff.

Laikyn Puckett (3-for-4, triple, three RBI, three runs scored), Kennedy Lyon (3-for-3, double, walk, four RBI, three runs scored) and Bella Rush (3-for-4, two doubles, two RBI, two runs scored) led Notre Dame's outing while Jaysa Bryant (2-for-4, triple, double, two RBI, two runs scored) and Maycee Ford (2-for-3, four runs scored) joined the trio in the multi-hit column.

Schaefer (1-for-3, double, RBI, run scored) and Kate Entler (1-for-1) rounded out the hitting lineup for Notre Dame (3-2, 1-0 SOC I) in the contest.

Portsmouth 13, Cloudland (Tenn.) 1 (F/5)

Behind a complete game five-hitter by Katie Ankrom, the Portsmouth Trojans' softball program was able to claim a 13-1 victory over the Cloudland (Tenn.) Highlanders' softball program down in Myrtle Beach on Tuesday afternoon.

Ankrom, who struck out five batters and allowed just six hits while walking only one in her five-hitter, also went 1-for-3 with an RBI in the contest.

Along with Ankrom, Evie Wampler-McKinley (1-for-3, three RBI, two runs scored), Bailey Waughtel (1-for-3, three runs scored), Caitlyn Galloway (2-for-4, two triples, two RBI, run scored) and Olivia Wells (1-for-3, home run, two RBI, two runs scored) all contributed heavily to Portsmouth's offensive onslaught.

Portsmouth now sits 3-1 in 2026.
