Here are the Monroe-area LSWA Class 4A All-State basketball honorees

MONROE — The Louisiana Sports Writers Association Monday, April 6, announced its Class 4A All-State basketball teams for 2026.
Five-time reigning LHSAA girls basketball champion Wossman is well-represented on the All-State teams. Sophomore Heaven Weeks (16.5 PPG) and Lady Wildcats coach Otis Robinson took home Outstanding Player and Coach of the Year honors, respectively, while senior Ashanti Smith (9.7 PPG) was named a Second Team All-Team honoree. Wossman senior Jontae Turpin Jr. (19.2 PPG) makes First Team All-State for boys basketball.

Weeks totaled 26 points, 16 rebounds, an assist, four steals and a block for Wossman in its Division II nonselect championship victory against LaGrange. Smith recorded 15 points, eight boards and two steals for the Lady Wildcats in the semifinals against Sterlington.
