Victor Wembanyama has finished third in MVP award voting for the 2025-26 award, trailing winner Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and second place finisher Nikola Jokic.
It was a great third season for Wemby, who averaged 25 points, 11.5 rebounds and 3.1 blocks on a 62-win Spurs team. This strong campaign put him in the top three in MVP voting with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Nikola Jokic.

On Sunday, it was announced that Gilgeous-Alexander has won his second straight MVP award with Jokic coming in second and Wemby in third.
Gilgeous-Alexander averaged 31.1 points, 4.3 rebounds and 6.6 assists on a 64-win Thunder team en route to his second straight award.
Gilgeous-Alexander received 83 first place votes while Jokic got 10 and Wemby got five. In terms of total voting points, Gilgeous Alexander had 939, Jokic had 634 and Wemby had 569.
A global media panel of 100 voters selected the winner of the 2025-26 Kia NBA Most Valuable Player Award.

Wemby will have a chance for revenge in San Antonio's Western Conference Finals matchup against Gilgeous-Alexander's Oklahoma City Thunder.
