Goalkeeper Misa Rodríguez and attacker Caroline Weir were among the players to bid farewell to Real Madrid on the final day of the Liga F season.

Elsewhere, Barcelona rounded off another memorable campaign with a resounding victory against Madrid CFF.

Here, we will round up all the action from Liga F match-day 30.

Weir and Misa bow out at Real Madrid

Misa saw out her final Real Madrid appearance with a clean sheet, while Weir marked the occasion with her 14th Liga F goal of the season. The Scotland international found the net just four minutes after Athenea del Castillo opened the scoring in the 64th minute against Granada.

After collecting the ball from distance, Weir drove a low shot past the goalkeeper with the aid of a deflection. The result represented a fourth consecutive victory without conceding and took them onto 72 points from 30 games.

Barcelona wrap up memorable campaign in style

Days after Alexia Putellas, Mapi León and Ona Batlle said goodbye to the club, Barcelona travelled to the capital for their final game of a quadruple-winning season. Caroline Graham Hansen played a starring role with a hat-trick in the 4-0 away success against Madrid CFF. After nodding home the opener, the Norway international fired a penalty in off the post following a handball infringement.

Graham Hansen completed an impressive hat-trick in the 76th minute, chopping onto her right foot before firing past Paola Ulloa at the near post. There was still time left in the game for Vicky López to net her 10th goal of the season. Overall, the Liga F champions finished their league campaign with 87 points, 130 goals scored, and just nine conceded.

Tenerife secure fourth place

Costa Adeje Tenerife wrapped up a commendable fourth-place finish with a 2-0 home victory over Deportivo La Coruña. Koko broke the deadlock in the opening stages of the second period. The forward got across her defender to flick the ball in from a near-post cross. Paulina Gramaglia then added a second from the penalty spot, sealing a win that moved Tenerife onto 52 points, 10 more than they managed last season.

Real Sociedad see off Atleti

Meanwhile, Atletico Madrid had to be content with fifth place after falling to a 2-0 defeat to Real Sociedad. Lucía Pardo gave the hosts a narrow half-time lead, lashing a fierce left-foot shot into the top corner. As the half entered the final 20 minutes, Cecilia Marcos netted a fourth goal in five games to seal all three points for the third-placed side.

Eibar edge out Logroño

Eibar defender Mireia Masegur scored the opening goal in Sunday’s clash with DUX Logroño. The defender diverted a downward header beyond María Miralles after attacking Adela Rico Torres’s floated corner. Around 20 minutes later, Iara Lacosta raced onto a bouncing pass to carefully lift the ball over the former Eibar goalkeeper. Logroño were able to reduce the deficit through Catalina Ongaro, but Eibar held on to secure a narrow win, finishing the campaign with a three-game unbeaten run. While the hosts ended the campaign in 13th spot, Logroño finished seven points behind in 14th, but, crucially, seven points clear of the drop zone.

Elsewhere, Espanyol played out a goalless draw against Sevilla. The occasion belonged to Espanyol’s Judit Pablos, who played her final game after announcing her retirement from professional football. Pablos’s eight-year stay as an Espanyol player officially ended in the 68th minute when she was withdrawn to a great reception from her teammates, as well as the staff and supporters.

Defeats for relegated clubs

Athletic Club signed off the season with an emphatic 4-1 victory over relegated Alhama. Daniela Agote headed in from a deep cross to put the hosts ahead inside the opening 10 minutes. In the second half, Ane Campos scored either side of a Jone Amezaga effort to take the game away from Alhama. The visitors did at least manage to trouble the scorers, with Mariana Díaz volleying home late on in her team’s final game before dropping down to the second tier.

Liga F officially bid farewell to one of the division’s most historic sides as Levante’s disastrous season ended with a 1-0 home defeat to Badalona. Irina Uribe scored the game’s only goal on the stroke of half time. The 27-year-old latched onto Elena Julve’s through pass before she slotted the ball beyond Andrea Tarazona. As a result of the defeat, Liga F’s basement side finished the campaign with just nine points, while Badalona clinched ninth spot with 39 points.

Did you know?

Valencia prevailed in the playoffs in dramatic fashion at the weekend. They looked set to fall to a 1-0 defeat in the home leg of the Primera Federación playoff final against regional rivals Villarreal, a week after they had played out a goalless affair. But just as Valencia’s promotion hopes had disappeared, Leyre Monente produced a stunning strike in the 10th minute of stoppage time to send the tie to extra time. With no side able to find a winner, Valencia secured promotion as the team that finished higher in the league.
