When looking back on the 2025/26 season, Lazio fans will remember it as one of the worst in the club’s history. This campaign was marred by never-ending issues off the pitch, including conflicts between the fan base and club president Claudio Lotito, who also had run-ins with the head coach, Maurizio Sarri.

The supporters and the manager blamed the patron for the lack of quality in the squad, and the goal deficiency was perhaps the most telling metric. Lazio only scored 41 goals in their 38 league fixtures, in addition to five strikes in as many Coppa Italia games.
Partially due to the modest figures, we didn’t have too many pearlers to choose from this season. Nevertheless, it’s time to pick and review the top five Lazio goals of the 2025/26 campaign.
Honorable Mentions
Before we get into the entries, we begin with two honorable mentions. Perhaps these two goals weren’t the most aesthetically pleasing, but they were arguably the most significant.
The first is Tijjani Noslin’s late winner in Parma, when the Aquile were reduced to nine men but refused to lie low, while the second is Pedro’s strike against Pisa on the final game of his illustrious career, which also proved to be Lazio’s last goal of the season.
5. Pedro (Lazio 3-3 Udinese, Matchday 34)
After an underwhelming start to the season, Pedro capped off an unforgettable Lazio stint with a solid late run. In the 3-3 thriller against Udinese, the legendary Spaniard gave Lazio a temporary lead with an elegant first-time shot that encapsulated his elusive talent.
The veteran didn’t need to put too much power behind the ball, as the perfect bending was enough to beat the outstretched goalkeeper.
4. Gustav Isaksen (Juventus 2-2 Lazio, Matchday 24)
If there is one goal that summarizes Sarri’s vision for Lazio in 2025/26, it has to be the perfect counter-attack against Juventus, culminating with Gustav Isaksen’s vicious strike.
Mario Gila instigated the play from the back, picking up Fisayo Dele-Bashiru in the middle of the park. The Nigerian set it up for Danilo Cataldi, who released Isaksen with an ideal long ball. The Dane won the sprint against Andrea Cambiaso, who tried to derange him, but the Lazio winger was still able to produce a screamer with his weaker right foot that almost tore the roof of the net.
2 & 3. Matteo Cancellieri (Lazio 3-3 Torino, Matchday 6)
Interestingly, Matteo Cancellieri has occupied the second and third spots with his memorable brace against Torino. The Italian winger enjoyed an impressive start to the campaign, but this performance marked the height of his Lazio career thus far.
While both goals stemmed from similar counterattacks, the first culminated with a powerful strike from the edge of the box, whereas the second saw him set up the shot with a cheeky backheel before beating the goalkeeper from close range.
These two strikes can be interchangeable on the list, but the setup of the second goal gives it a slight edge.
1. Luca Pellegrini (Lazio 3-3 Udinese, Matchday 34)
Curiously, the list began and ended with the same fixture. Prior to Pedro’s glorious curler, Luca Pellegrini had delivered an absolute scorcher, one that no one saw coming. While the ball was bouncing inside the box, the left-back latched onto it with a vicious strike that evaded the crowd and landed in the top corner, leaving the goalkeeper with absolutely no chance of pulling off a save.
Whether this will go down as Pellegrini’s last strike for his beloved Lazio remains to be seen, but it will almost certainly be his most glorious piece of work at the Stadio Olimpico.
