Woman found dead after alleged domestic dispute in KZN

A woman was found dead at her Greylands, KwaZulu-Natal, home on Monday after an alleged domestic dispute the previous evening.

The property owner called for assistance after the woman’s body was discovered inside the residence. Reaction Officers responded to the scene.
Alleged domestic dispute
According to information gathered at the scene, the woman and her husband allegedly argued before becoming involved in a physical altercation on Sunday evening.
Witnesses also told responders that the couple had been involved in similar incidents in the past and regularly consumed alcohol.
Concerned after the woman was not seen on Monday morning, the property owner’s father and another tenant carried out a wellness check.
They entered the home and found the woman lying unresponsive on a bed in one of the bedrooms.
Investigation underway
Paramedics from Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) examined the woman and noted slight bruising to her face and the right side of her chest. They also found an open bottle of tablets in the room.
Investigators have not yet determined the cause of death. The woman’s husband could not be located.
Police from Tongaat SAPS have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death.
