Fabrizio Romano is here with some PSG transfer news – it looks like the club are finally about to get a deal done.

After a worrying few weeks of little action (apart from some major sales), the club have got into gear and are ready to sign an attacker. Romano says that Maghnes Akliouche is “flying to Paris right now with his agents to complete his Paris Saint-Germain move.”

The €50m transfer fee was agreed with Monaco over the weekend, and the attacker now has permission to travel and wrap the deal up.

Akliouche set for busy season as main backup

Akliouches comes in as an obvious replacement for Kang-in Lee, who has left for Atletico Madrid. He won’t start ahead of the main members of the elite front 3 in the biggest games, but will get plenty of action in a variety of attacking positions when they’re being rested.

We expect him to play a lot this season, even without being a defined first choice player. Long term, he certainly has the potential to be a star for PSG.
