Roman Reigns has been the top name in WWE for many years now, even if there were times when fans did not want that.

After splitting from The Shield, Roman got a lot of backlash when he was positioned as ‘the guy’ in a babyface role.

However, after changing up his character and working with Paul Heyman, Reigns finally realised his true potential and has been the biggest star in WWE since.

But he is already working fewer dates, and at some point, he will either retire or perhaps work a schedule similar to what we saw Brock Lesnar doing for many years, where he was only really appearing at WrestleMania, SummerSlam and maybe a few more shows throughout the year.

In turn, WWE will have to find a new top guy to make the face of the company at some point, and they seem to have settled on Oba Femi.

WWE plan to make Oba Femi face of company after Roman Reigns

Femi has not been on the main roster for that long, but he has already won King of the Ring and most recently beat Brock Lesnar in what may have been The Beast’s final match.

Now, as quoted by Wrestle Purists, journalist Dave Meltzer has said that WWE plan to make Femi the face of the company once the spot is taken from Roman.

He stated: “It’s very clear the big picture is that Oba Femi will be the new face of the company, whenever the decision is made to take that spot from Roman Reigns.”

It will be interesting to see how fans react to this, as they generally don’t like it when the company so obviously pushes talent, as we previously saw with Roman.

Femi has begun to prove himself in the ring, of course, but maybe he needs to work on his promos before he is made the face of WWE.

Or, like Brock, perhaps he could eventually end up working with Heyman.
