Man City target Gakpo and Fernandez
Manchester City have joined Tottenham in the race for Liverpool forward Cody Gakpo.
City are monitoring the Netherlands international as they look to strengthen their attack, with Tottenham also interested in the versatile forward.
City are also expected to make an offer for Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez before the transfer window closes, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The move could depend on City creating room in their squad, with Nico Gonzalez’s proposed departure to Newcastle helping to facilitate their pursuit of Fernandez.
City have also agreed a deal to sign winger Allan Elias from Palmeiras, following the departure of Savinho.

Newcastle have reached an agreement with Manchester City to sign midfielder Nico Gonzalez for around £50m.
Gonzalez joined City in January 2025 but is now set to leave the Etihad after less than two years with the club.
