The Ultimate Overtaking Challenge
Instead of going toe-to-toe with his usual Formula 1 rivals, Verstappen will line up at the very back of the grid. His goal is simple yet daunting: overtake all 100 amateur competitors ahead of him before the checkered flag drops.
The lineup of 100 opponents includes:
- Red Bull Endorsed Athletes: Competitors across extreme and endurance sports, including ultrarunner Arda Saatçi and freestyle mountain biker Matt Jones.
- Celebrities & Content Creators: Popular streamers and media personalities
- Everyday Fans: Everyday motorsport enthusiasts selected to take on the F1 icon on a purpose-built circuit at Silverstone.
Interactive Chaos on the Track
Adding to the broadcast's entertainment, Verstappen will have direct two-way radio communication enabled with his rivals as he works through the traffic, allowing fans to hear real-time banter, strategy, and reactions live during the race. Hosted by comedian Mo Gilligan, the production will feature gaming-style broadcast graphics, cinematic drone coverage, and live telemetry tracking across the field.
"In go-karts, you learn all the basics: starts, defending, overtaking," Verstappen shared about the challenge. "I spent a large part of my life karting... I'm looking forward to just seeing how the chaos unfolds in front of my eyes."
