Southampton make offer for Borussia Dortmund centre-back

Having been linked with a move away from Borussia Dortmund throughout the summer transfer window, a door to England now appears to have opened for Luca Reggiani.
According to Italian transfer journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Southampton have submitted an offer of an unknown amount for the young centre-back, with several Serie A clubs also said to be monitoring his situation.

Reggiani broke into Dortmund’s first team last season and signed a new long-term contract with the club as recently as March.
However, the 18-year-old appears to have slipped down the pecking order over the summer and was an unused substitute in Dortmund’s 2-0 Bundesliga opening-day victory over Hamburger SV.
Reggiani made his senior international debut for Italy in June.
