After a decade away, TKZee’s Kabelo Mabalane makes his solo music comeback

After rising to fame as one third of South Africa’s music giants, TKZee, in the 90s with bandmates Zwai Bala and the late Tokollo “Magesh” Tshabalala, Kabelo Mabalane ventured into a successful solo career before taking a break from music.

Mabalane first went solo in 2000 with the release of his debut solo album, Everybody Watching, which gave us hits like Pantsula 4 Life and Amasheleni.

Everybody needs Somebody features Durban duo, The Arrows.
The upbeat song “draws from Mabalane’s unmistakable kwaito roots… adds a genius one-of-a-kind, unmistakable sonic infusion of The Arrows, giving the track its ease, joyfulness, and perfect tension point,” said the statement.
The song was recorded between Johannesburg and Los Angeles and is available on Spotify, Apple Music, and Deezer.
The 49-year-old Johannesburg native is married to actress Gail Mabalane and they have two children together. He has been an active part of the ministry team at Rhema Bible Church, all while raising his young children with his wife, among other things.
