SUAMICO – The Pirates piled up 518 total yards, including 398 through the air, as they steadily pulled away from the Red Raiders to earn the Fox River Classic Conference win.

Bray Babich threw for 203 yards and two touchdowns, while Braydon Maney added 195 yards passing with one touchdown.

Jackson Smith was the top receiving target, catching four passes for 149 yards and two touchdowns.

Ryder Timmerman led the Bay Port ground attack, carrying 10 times for 46 yards and a score.

Bay Port led 13-0 after one before upping that margin to 25-0 at intermission and 32-0 after three.

GREEN BAY – The Wildcats defeated the Red Devils for the fourth straight season in the 121st meeting between the two teams.

Green Bay West is now 3-0 for the first time since 1991.

Green Bay East is now 0-3.

West De Pere 35, De Pere 12

DE PERE – Kainan Strong rushed for four touchdowns as the visiting Phantoms started fast and cruised to the Fox River Classic Conference win over the Redbirds.

West De Pere led 21-0 after one quarter and kept De Pere at bay the rest of the way.

Andrew Greisen connected with Parker Diedrich with a 41-yard touchdown to start the scoring.

Darian Acevedo-Ortiz hit Landon Kibbe for a 25-yard touchdown pass, while Cayden Cavanaugh returned an interception nine yards for another score to lead the Redbirds.

Appleton West 20, Green Bay Southwest 14

APPLETON – Isaac Ise’s 80-yard kickoff return for a touchdown proved to be the difference in Appleton West’s victory over the visiting Trojans in a Fox River Classic North opener.

The Terrors are 3-0 for the first time since 2004. West finished 8-3 overall that year and 7-2 in the Fox Valley Association.

Charlie Blevins had a 9-yard touchdown run and Connor Navis added a 1-yard scoring plunge to complete the scoring for the Terrors.

Little Chute 28, Wrightstown 14

LITTLE CHUTE – Mason Schneider’s 37-yard interception return in the fourth quarter put the game out of reach as the Mustangs improved to 3-0 on the season and 1-0 in the North Eastern Conference.

Schneider had two interceptions on the night, with his second for the touchdown with 2:10 remaining in the fourth quarter.

Wrightstown bottled up Little Chute standout running back Reece Joten, holding him to 13 carries for 47 yards, but the Mustangs got big plays from quarterback Jaden Hermsen and wingback Tyler Hietpas.

Hermsen scored on runs of 53 and 4 yards and also had a pair of 2-point conversions. Hietpas raced 69 yards for another score.

Alex Van Helvoirt had an 80-yard kick return for a touchdown with Claxton Lasecki scoring from 15 yards out to cap the scoring for Wrightstown (1-2, 0-1).

APPLETON – Braden Heiges ran for two touchdowns and threw for another as the Foxes held off the Thunder in Bay Conference action.

After both teams scored touchdowns in the first quarter, it appeared FVL had taken charge with three second-quarter scores to take a 28-14 halftime advantage.

But Seymour hung tough and shut out the Foxes in the second half.

Heiges finished with 116 yards rushing and 157 passing.
