Neosho (6-6) plated two runs in the top of the first when Journey Arnall drove in Kylie Tomlinson with a double to center and Sadee Leach sent Arnall home with another double to center field.

The Wildcats increased their lead to 5-0 with three more runs in the top of the second after a Smith single plated Daidin Marshall, Tomlinson drove in Sawyer VanDorn and Smith scored on an Arnall sacrifice fly.

The lead ballooned to 7-0 in the top of the third when Smith doubled to center and scored Crimson Everett and Marshall.

After giving up a run in the bottom of the frame, the Wildcats tacked on four more runs in the top of the fourth to go up 11-1. Amelia Stephens plated Arnall with a single, Cabella James scored when Marshall was hit by a pitch with bases loaded and Smith drove in CeCe Crocker and Marshall with a line drive to center field.

Neosho logged another four-run inning in the top of the fifth. James crossed home on a Marshall single, Everett scored on a fielder’s choice and Smith plated Marshall and VanDorn with a single to left field to make it 15-1.

Lebanon (2-4) managed to score twice in the bottom of the frame but that wasn’t enough to ward off the Neosho run-rule win.

In addition to Smith’s big day at the plate, Tomlinson finished 3 for 5 with a run and one RBI. Arnall was 2 for 4 with two RBIs and two runs, and Marshall went 2 for 3 with four runs and two RBIs.

In the circle for the Wildcats, Harper Wheeler gave up three runs (one earned) on three hits while striking out nine and walking eight in the complete game win.

The Wildcats host Ozark High School at 5 p.m. Thursday.
