ESPN College GameDay guest picker revealed for Ohio State vs Texas
· Yahoo Sports
The Ohio State and Texas showdown wouldn't be the spectacle that it's expected to be without ESPN's CollegeGameDay playing host. While we already knew that would be on the docket for pregame festivities, it's now been revealed as to who the guest picker will be.
Actor Glen Powell will be in Austin on Saturday to take on that role, he announced on Thursday.

“What is up y’all? Glen Powell here, I am your celebrity guest picker this week,” Powell said in a video announcing the news. “This Saturday, I am coming to you from my hometown of Austin, Texas, where my Texas Longhorns are facing off against the Ohio State Buckeyes. Two powerhouse programs clashing in the greatest city on the planet. Tune in and Hook ‘Em Horns.”
Powell grew up in Austin and attended Westwood High School where he played football and lacrosse. He attended Texas for one year before pursuing his career in film -- a very successful one. He's been on and off again attending classes to complete his degree at Texas.
Powell previously served as the College GameDay guest picker back in 2022.
He will be one of a crowd expected to be over 100,000 and a group of fans that could set the Texas attendance record.
Texas, who is a slight favorite, enters the matchup looking to avenge last season's loss in Columbus, while Ohio State looks to keep its No. 1 ranking intact.
College GameDay airs from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on ESPN.
