CLEMSON, S.C. — UNC football defensive end Melkart Abou Jaoude, the ACC’s reigning leader in sacks, is out vs. Clemson.
Abou Jaoude, who was wearing a black cast around his right hand and wrist during the Tar Heels’ win vs. East Tennessee State, is one of seven captains for Bill Belichick’s squad.

The senior had 47 tackles, including 10 ½ sacks to lead the ACC in 2025 after transferring from Delaware. With Abou Jaoude sidelined, defensive linemen Xavier Lewis and Jaylen Harvey will have to step up after combining for four sacks in Week 2.
The Tar Heels (2-0) are aiming for their first win against the Tigers (1-1) in Death Valley since 2001. UNC has won three times at Memorial Stadium since 1980.
