Jose Alvarado popped up on New York's injury report on Saturday, and has now been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Orlando Magic with a left ankle sprain, according to head coach Mike Brown in his pregame press conference.
The backup point guard is the lone Knicks player to appear on the injury report.
Alvarado logged 11 minutes in the team's 107-103 loss against the Boston Celtics last time out and struggled on the court. He scored just two points to go along with two rebounds, two assists and a steal, but he turned the ball over three times and finished as a minus-10.
New York is still searching for its first win this season, having lost to the Celtics and Philadelphia 76ers in their first two games.
